Ebtisam is a Washington-DC based Emirati artist and writer. She’s born and raised in Sharjah.

Reflecting her Bachelor’s Degree in Science & Mathematics, Abdulaziz incorporates her unique perspective on mathematics and geometry to explore issues of identity and culture through installations, performance art and other media. Her works combines the scientific with the arbitrary, the systemic with the human.

Her art is influenced by her travels and her identity as a female Arab/Muslim artist.

  • Current residency with KAEC from July —September; commissioned to create public sculpture
  • 2009 (debut) UAE National Pavilion at the Venice Biennale
